Featured technical note
Water is easy to cool, but it is only a small fraction of the batch mass. Aggregate typically dominates the thermal balance. Cement temperature, mixer heat, transport time and solar exposure can also erode the cooling gained at the plant.
A reliable study records mass, specific heat and starting temperature for each constituent, then checks the result against production and climate cases. This exposes where cooling energy creates the most value.
